MATTERbox: Cvent Connect 2026
MATTER recently facilitated an activation at Cvent CONNECT 2026 in Nashville. Attended by nearly 5,000 people in-person, along with thousands of virtual attendees, this event is specifically curated for planners and marketers who manage large-scale event budgets and platform selection.
We brought the MATTERbox mission to life at Cvent CONNECT! MATTER’s activation in the “Do Good” area, gave attendees the opportunity to pack 1,200 snack packs that were then donated locally to the Boys & Girls Club of Nashville at the conclusion of the event. Watching conference attendees jump in between sessions to give back to kids in their own host city was a highlight of the week!

The Chaya Project: Meet Jeremiah, a Chaya Project Champion
Jeremiah first learned about chaya at a school session led by our local leaders. He brought that knowledge home, and his family planted their own garden, working chaya into daily meals.
His mother, Rose, had been dealing with daily pain and skin sores for some time — medication, herbs, and doctors hadn’t given her relief. She started eating chaya three times a day and drinking it as tea. After two weeks of sticking with it, she began to feel a difference. Today Rose feels healthy, active, and like herself again. Her skin looks clearer and she’s glowing!
The impact didn’t stop there. Jeremiah and his family have shared what they learned with their village, spreading the word about chaya through their community. Jeremiah himself has caught the bug and he now dreams of becoming a botanist to help others through nutrition.

MATTER Education: Building Skills, Growing Impact in Zimbabwe
We recently had three inspiring days with our MATTER ® Education Zimbabwe facilitators!
Our workshop focused on developing presentation skills by having facilitators create and deliver presentations based on their experiences implementing Seesaw Learning, GitHub, and Essential Skills in their schools. And, they practiced giving and receiving feedback using the same presentation skills rubric used to assess students.
The result? An engaging, interactive, and impactful few days of learning, collaboration, and growth. We’re proud of this incredible team and excited to see the impact they’ll continue to make in classrooms across Zimbabwe.
