Through the redistribution of medical supplies and equipment, we are increasing access to health in some of the hardest to reach corners of the world.

We source, allocate, and ship life saving medical supplies and equipment to our partners who are on the front lines of scarcity and lack quality healthcare.

When a community has access to quality healthcare, it can change just about everything. In the past three years, we have made a significant impact.

How It Works

We work with international partners to improve the access & quality of healthcare for communities in some of the hardest to reach corners of the world.

We work with partner organizations on the ground to identify their goals and create an execution plan.

We work with major healthcare systems & manufacturers to procure the needed equipment to fulfill each project.

We coordinate the shipping logistics to ensure safe arrival of medical equipment & supplies in the receiving country’s port.

In the U.S. alone, hospitals create non-hazardous medical waste in excess of an estimated 5 million tons every year.

MATTER is committed to attacking this staggering situation by (re)purposing medical equipment and supplies to aid people and reduce landfill medical waste. We accomplish this through the MATTER 360 Initiative, distributing to international hospital and clinic partners, through resales and recycling.

In 2020 over 1.5 million pounds was (re)purposed.

of all medical supplies and equipment is distributed to MATTER’s hospital and clinic partners around the world.
MATTER remarkets approximately 2% of supplies and equipment via sales channels to support MATTER projects and operations.
of usable supplies and equipment is recycled annually, resulting in total waste of only 0.6%.

“The MATTER 360 model allows hospitals to donate their excess supplies and retired equipment knowing they are helping people AND the environment. Repurposing versus disposal is a win-win proposition.”
Ellie Zuehlke, Director, Community Benefit & Engagement, Allina Health
“Repurposing medical equipment and supplies allows physicians around the world to care for patients who might otherwise not get the care they need and deserve. I have seen the results myself and know that the MATTER 360 model makes a life-changing difference.”
Dr. Christopher Tashjian, Vibrant Health Family Clinics

See the Impact of Our Work

Our team travels to the location of every project we take on. Our time in these communities gives us a personal view into the lives of the individuals we are serving. The people we’ve met inspire our ideas and, often times, our solutions. Every one of them has a story worth sharing.
